Entry tags:bollywood is my shit, cheer up emo kid, cinemarr, everybody likes a youtube video, family, michael jackson ilu, sometimes i read

So after about five years of going "gosh I really should..." I finally read Coraline! I know I know, not like it's even long or anything but idk I just never got around to it ok! Having done so now though I feel that I should mention how it is BRILLIANT. ~*Special thanks*~ to my housemate Jonathan for letting me borrow his copy, because otherwise it would probably have taken another 5 years. Soo yes if any of you are even slower than me (doubtful!) and have not read Coraline yet, do it! Neil Gaiman is awesome and this book is proof.

I only just realised that I accidentally planned basically my entire week to consist of movie marathons with a bunch of different people, oops? I'm watching Bollywood films with my nan tomorrow, as-yet-undecided films with a friend on Wednesday, and having a Harry Potter marathon with friends on Thursday because they will be in Denmark when the next one comes out so they need to be ~prepared~. I was going to go to Denmark with them but then I was short on cash, plus the timing was bad. Sadface! Anyway I'm pretty okay with the film marathon week because even though the weather has been really really good lately, apparently a NEVERENDING THUNDERSTORM is about to start tomorrow, so I guess I'll be safely inside during that mess. This is good!

Also, I am still hung up on MJ. This is less good because it means I unleash my MJ-related emo on the world all the time because I am apparently incapable of shutting up, and I am probably boring people slowly to death with it. But WTF IT SUCKS SO BAD. This is seriously longer than I have ever been upset about anyone dying, including relatives of mine. That really kind of disturbs me idk but I can't stop being sad about it? fnas'dkg I don't know, have a damn video of him with a llama being cute because that is all I am good for right now

OKAY THE END. Cry.

Coraline is in my 'to read' pile in my bedroom. I read 'The Graveyard Book' over Christmas, and it was amazing. Have you read that one yet?

And movie marathons are always fun :)

Nothing wrong with being upset about MJ!

Aw, it would have been awesome if you went to Denmark. But there is always next time.

I demand that you post on Sachlichkeit about Bollywood films because I know I never will!

OMG PLEASE TELL ME YOU SAW THE MEMORIAL AND CRIED BECAUSE THEN I WON'T BE ALONE. I hadn't cried before that but holy crap, the whole end of the memorial just broke me. I know it's fine to be upset but I just can't get over HOW deeply upset I am. It's just not letting up :/ I just want him to come out and be all "hee hee just kidding" and give me a hug. Dammit :(

Oh I know, I'm really sad I can't go! I've never been to Denmark before and I've heard such wonderful things about it. :( Ah well, next time it is!

Haha, I will do! Do you think it would be best if I did a general intro-to-Bollywoodish thing? I mean I suspect that most people reading our blog won't have seen much of it, right?

I was too scared to watch the memorial! I'm still too scared to watch it because I probably will start crying a river. If it makes you feel better, 20 of my IRL friends cried their eyes out. Damn, I wish that this was just a hoax and that he really isn't dead but from what I read about the memorial, I think that just pretty much hit the nail on the coffin. Unless it's a pretty damn good hoax.

Maybe we can go together! If I'm in Denmark this winter, you can visit me and we can do awesome things. And then of course, you'll have to kidnap me to the NL.

Yay! Please do! That would be like an amazing b-day present if you posted about Bollywood on Sachlichkeit. You can do whatever you want! You can post about a film you watched and write a little bit about Bollywood in the entry or do a whole separate post about Bollywood films. I have no idea who our reading audience is but I found out most came because of the reviews [info]Maddy wrote on a Japanese film. So maybe because the people are interested in Japanese films they might branch out of European films and watch Bollywood films? I am totally stretching things right now :/ OR you can just blog: WATCH THIS OR I WILL COME AND HUNT YOU DOWN!

I don't know man, there's not a lot of Bollywood info in the english world. I for one would appreciate a post cause I'm navigating in mysterious waters! And I'm sure others would too.
Also, we are all amazing.

Yeah, if you see the memorial you'll know that he's definitely dead. :( IT MAKES ME SO SAD, I CAN'T EVEN. Ugh. Brb crying forever.

Oh, definitely! If the Denmark thing goes through (do you know yet? If not, when are they telling you? :O) I neeeeeeed to come visit you there and kidnap you back here! That way we can give each other tours!

Haha! As soon as I have the time I will try to write as comprehensive a Bollywood post as I can! I do not feel that WATCH THIS >:( will be an appropriate first post :')

I just read Coraline a few weeks ago. Strangely, I didn't love it...it was pretty good, but I just didn't feel really very attached to Coraline as a character. I might have just had too-high expectations, maybe? I want to see the film, though, because it looks awesome.

Ooh, I need to plan a Harry Potter marathon, too! I am all pressed for time, though - I want to see it on the first day because it is also my birthday, so, its like I have to thank the gods of fate/movie people for an awesome birthday gift. But I also have a big assignment due the next day (which I haven't done any work on). Grr! I mean, obviously Harry Potter should take priority, right?!

That video is amazing! I had no feelings or attachment to Mr MJ, but this made me like him, I think. I want a pet llama!

I really liked her character actually, especially for a children's book! I have an enormous weakness for girls who get to explore and be brave though, so that probably explains a lot. I hadn't really heard too much about the actual story, just that I should read it, so I didn't go into it with anything but curiosity, which I guess helped because I was really really pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it! I really want to see the film as well!

Haha, it turns out that the people I'm having the marathon with are all so pressed for time that we can only watch the most recent film! It's too bad, but better than nothing I guess. And yes, HP should totally take priority! Every film only comes out once, and after this there's only two more Harry Potter films before it's completely over. So this is very important - even more so because it's on your birthday! I say go and see it, definitely.

I've always loved MJ's music, but it took me a while to realise that he wasn't actually this criminal freak that the media was painting him as, but a really naive, sweet, gentle, innocent person. It really hurts me to think that things never really got better for him and I do feel really attached to him, so I'm really crushed by his death. :( (can you tell? haha) But now I can't stop looking up videos of him being adorable, even though it hurts to watch them! I'm so stupid.
