WARNING: THIS POST IS FULL OF NICE THINGS
So many awesome things going on! IL my life right now.

Firstly of course MY BROTHER PASSED HIS FINAL EXAMS HELL YEAH \o/ he did so well, I am v. v. proud! I want to buy him a gift since I have money again (I spent the last two weeks basically without it, no lie) but I don't know what he waaaaaants D: Possibly I have located the most difficult person in world history to buy presents for. He never wants anything, HOW CAN HE NEVER WANT ANYTHING? Idk idk. I will find him something though, I am determined!

Besides this I have been doing a tiny bit of studying and a lot of hanging around with friends, which is the way I feel things should be since I am at heart a lazy bum. I went to see my housemate Jonathan play Rosalind in an A+ hilarious version of As You Like It, watched Top Hat and a couple of... um, interesting Jason Isaacs films with [info]electricwitch (man Jason Isaacs you know I love you A LOT but I just, I mean, what the fuck), spent time with my family for father's day, and just got back from inspecting [info]fantoom's new crib which IS AMAZING and which I would basically move into asap if it was... not already someone's crib. Also a friend notified me that Regina Spektor is playing a gig in Amsterdam in July so we will be going to see her play next month!! I AM EXCITED.

Idk idk I think my point is that life is rly nice right now? Yay \o/

Also I am the laziest person in the world so I have already shooped three whole pictures of my room into something resembling acceptable quality, and this is them:







More to follow when I am not lazy! I love my room so you're gonna have to put up with a big-ass picspam at some point, guys.

It is rly late though so I'm off to bed now, since tomorrow I am to visit my nan and watch Bollywood films with her HELL YES. It's been too long since I've watched any!

Haha man, I wish it was a Miu Miu dress! I could never ever everrr afford one sadly. It's a high street knockoff :) Thank you though! I do love my shoes even if I don't own a single practical pair. :')

Ik heb geeeen idee hoe het zit met Jonathan want die zie ik maar een halfuur per week, dus dat moet je aan hem vragen, maar Renée is waarschijnlijk woensdagmiddag en avond wel thuis, en ik ben er woensdag en donderdag allebei. En je kan altijd blijven eten!

Lol hij heeft niks met Loesje, en eigenlijk uberhaupt niks met dingen die op boeken lijken :') en hij wil ook geen cd's en ook geen dvd's want hij downloadt alles D:

Haha aw dankjewel! Die van jullie is mooier hoor, ik heb gewoon flatteuze foto's genomen :') en ons huis blijft lelijk, hahaha.

Ik vond het ook supergezellig! :) Je moet maar gauw eens hier langskomen om de gezelligheid voort te zetten. :D Ik had je mijn nummer geloof ik al eens gemaild, toch? Of zal ik dat nog even doen?

& Haha ik ben echt extreem posterverslaafd :'D Ik wil er nog veeeeel meer, stiekem is mijn doel een halve museumcollectie aan posters om me heen te hebben. One day!

Thank you! :) The rack is the landlady's, so it was already there when I moved in, but it worked out really well! I only wear skirts and (mostly) dresses so I had a lot of clothes that would look nice on display, haha.

Thank you! I'm really happy about the way it turned out - my room at my parents' house is all kinds of hideous since I picked the carpet and curtains when I was ten and they were SO BAD, so I'm over the moon about FINALLY having a nice room, haha.

I LOVE YOUR ROOM AND I AM HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOUR LIFE IS EPICALLY AMAZING RIGHT NOW! AND YAY FOR YOUR BROTHER! Ok, no more caps. Maybe you can just hang out with him or cook him his favourite dish? I have a friend who doesn't want anything, but she really likes company with her close friends.

Haha, you know I love my caps, so caps lock away! :P I'm so happy with the way my room turned out as well! I'm glad the internet seems to agree, haha. And yay for my brother indeed! He comes over for dinner occasionally, so cooking him an extra fancy one does sound like a good idea! Thank you! :D

I really liked Top Hat! I couldn't stop loling at how they designed Italy to look like it's the size of a small hotel as well as at the Italian (FOR THE WOMAN, THE KISS! FOR THE MAN... THE SWORD!!!), but I really liked it. Also young Fred Astaire is adorable?! I've only ever seen him in one film, where he was really really old, so I was kind of shocked haha. I was kind of expecting to be annoyed by Ginger honestly, because I'd seen her play small parts in one or two pre-code Busby Berkeley films and she was kind of annoying in those, but I liked her a lot here!

Holy crap, someone else who likes Jason Isaacs! I knew you were awesome. :D All but one of my irl friends think he is gross and creepy, haha :'( I kind of understand that every director wants him to be the bad guy since he does them so well, but man THEY WRITE SOME FUCKED UP BAD GUYS. Whaaaat.

Aww thank you! The hat is one of my prized possessions, since it's the first item I ever bought that was actually from the '20s! It's in some danger hanging there though because everyone who comes into my room wants to put it on, and it's old and tiny :') I almost had a heart attack when my 7-year old niece yanked it down over her head like it was the sturdiest thing in the world, haha.

Sadly I don't know the film titles! My friend brought them along, and I just kind of sat there going "... WHAT, I, WHAT IS THAT, I DON'T, WHAT THE FUCK" haha. The one that took the cake was the film where he played the criminal boss of some reaaaally fucked up medical fetish club (I thought that just meant people in sexy nurse uniforms but man was I wrong DDD:) who was also a wannabe pop star. There was a scene where he bashed some guy's head in with a huge mallet and then broke into a performance of "When a man loves a woman" right over the guy's corpse. I just... yeah. I don't know either :')

Aww thank you! :) It's not normally this neat though! I had the good sense to take these photos right after tidying up while waiting for guests to arrive, haha.

Ah wow your room looks beautiful! I love your old sewing machine as a desk - what a genius idea! Does it still have the sewing machine part inside?

Thank you! :D I'm really happy with the way it turned out (especially since I hate my old room so much, haha.) The sewing machine table used to be my grandmother's - I was determined to find a way to use it so my parents wouldn't throw it out! It's brilliant as a desk because my computer things just fit on it and I can keep a cup of tea and a notebook on there as well, but nothing more! That really helps because I have a tendency to clutter my desk with junk and now I can't, haha. It does still have the sewing machine inside of it too!

There will be more room picspam soon for sure! I'm feeling kind of like a proud five-year old so I have to show everyone my room until they're sick of it :')

Yes, I'm looking forward to Regina Spektor so much! She's never performed here before, the last time she came to Europe I actually spent all my savings on a weekend in Paris so I could go see her there, haha.

Haha, the only film I know the title of is The Last Minute, and that one is just... SO WEIRD. I have to confess that my friend mostly skipped through the film to show me the parts with Jason Isaacs, because according to her the rest of the film was just weird. Actually the bits with him were HELLA WEIRD too, but I love him so I can handle that a lot better :') We also watched one with him and David Thewlis where they both played Irish people! Jason Isaacs was the gangster of course and David Thewlis the 'hero', but that one was really interesting. I don't know what it's called, though! :/
